I copied somebody's (fairly long) quiz about 2015, and this isn't the whole thing, but this is the questions I got around to answering!
Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't generally make them, because I learned long ago that I'm terrible about remembering they exist a week later, much less for the rest of the year.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Did anyone close to you die?
Unfortunately yes. Our friend Art, who was my mother's long-term boyfriend. We moved into the apartment complex he lived in after the storm in 2008, and we're still here. We didn't see him daily or anything, but we always had dinner with him at least every month or so. He was much older than my mother, but he was in good health until this last year, when his health declined rapidly, and he passed away this past summer. He was 92.
What countries did you visit?
Just this one.
What would you like to have in 2016 that you lacked in 2015?
I try not to look too much at the previous answers, but the person I got this from said "Confidence" and I think that's a good answer. I veer back and forth on that but in general I could stand to have more
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Being very, very useful at work. It's not an exaggeration this year to say the place would have fallen apart without me. (At least, the database would have.)
Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I started to say "Donald Trump" but it's not so much Trump himself (since I had a very poor opinion of him to begin with) as that of his supporters, who think that saying "Mexicans are rapists" is just fine and dandy.
Where did most of your money go?
Way too much went to nail polish I didn't need and various other items from Sephora, etc. (I am now a Sephora VIB, which tells you I spent way too much money there.)
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The Star Wars movie. I had my tickets two months early and I felt like December 19th was Christmas.
What was your favorite film of this year?
The shortlist is Fury Road, The Martian, Spotlight, and The Force Awakens. They're all very different, so it makes it hard to pick just one.
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I think I worked, actually. I've mostly stopped telling people my age - but I'm sure if you poke around my LJ you can find the answer pretty easily. It's not that I'm seriously trying to hide it.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2015?
My personal fashion is extremely boring - jeans and various knit tops. The funny thing, though, is that I have Pinterest fashion boards with many followers - I just don't extend that to real life.
What political issue stirred you the most?
Black Lives Matter
