Mary Poppins Returns was enchanting. However, there were portions of it that were so dark and scary, I can imagine children being frightened by them. Even the concept of possibly losing your home and having to move out could be traumatic. Maybe kids nowadays aren't as easily scared as they were in my day. Overall, though, I found the acting and the music to be wonderful, and I was so thrilled with the ending I was bouncing in my seat. Easily amused, I suppose.

I was delighted to hear that Rami Malek won the GG for playing Freddie Mercury. I found his portrayal astonishing, right down to the overbite. I hope he wins the Oscar, too. I haven't seen A Star Is Born, but it would have to be sensational to beat Bohemian Rhapsody for best picture.
