I prefer going with Rob and I think he prefers going with me, but we're both fine with going alone, generally. The horror-movie exception has just been an established thing since we first met in the mid-80s - he loves them, I hate them, so with a few exceptions like horror-comedies he just goes by himself, and that's always been our routine. (I remember us going to Aliens for a date early on. The first Alien movie was too scary for me - although I've seen it - but Aliens was mostly an action-movie, so I loved it.)
