Greetings! It's good to hear from you. I've been wondering how you were getting along, being associated with a medical center and all.
I, too, find it more successful to write things down by hand. I don't use a planner, but I have lists, mostly, and notes where I can find them. I have a number of little throw-away purse-size "planners," but keep forgetting to actually put them in my purse! Not organized, is what I am.
We had two guests over for Thanksgiving this year. Funny that we didn't have anyone for ten years or more, and the year we finally did was during a pandemic. My kitchen is so small, it was easy to social distance, because it was only me in the kitchen! We ate outside on the patio, so I guess we were pretty safe without even trying.
Saturday we got our Christmas tree, from the same growers we've visited for years. They set up in the parking lot of the local Office Depot. The trees come from northern NC, and arrived Saturday with snow still on them. They told us when they opened the trailer here in FL there was steam rising when the cold air hit our humid atmosphere. The Office Depot facility has closed permanently, so we were worried they wouldn't be here this year, but they have some kind of contract with the owners of the property. Yay! We keep the tree up for weeks and weeks, and they always stay green and fragrant the whole time. The tree sits on the patio, outside the slider windows to the family room, because there is literally no place to put it inside the house. Today, I'll be putting the lights on the house. Many, many decorated houses, this year, and early, too. I guess it makes people feel happy and "normal" in this screwy year. I read that the sale of live trees has sky-rocketed, this year, and there's a trend toward homemade, crafty sort of decorating. Very homey and comforting. Also something to do when cooped up at home...
I'm glad for Hollidailies. I look forward to hearing from you, at least for December. I was concerned since you haven't updated your nail blog for quite a while, and I can't reply to it, anyway, since I don't have the requisite Google account, or whatever it is they require. It's still fun to read about all those colors!
Best regards from South Florida, where it's actually cold this week! Low 50s at night, which for me is achingly cold. We live down here for a reason! 😀
