I would like to point out something important about the allure of minor-league baseball. This is the view from the $12 seats at the AAA game:

I believe in the church of baseball.

Minor league games are more like the little church on the corner to me. Major league games are more like the cathedral. There are advantages to each.

I love minor league ball. The Phils have a single A team about an hour away, and $15 got us seats directly behind home plate. There's a AA team closer, but, well, they're a Yankees farm team. Heh.

I love minor league ballgames. I really have to get to Staten Island Yankees and Brooklyn Cyclones games, but the often sell out.
