(no subject)

I just posted a very chatty entry over at the other place, because, you know, there's that whole Holidailies thing I so inconveniently decided to do.

I failed to say over there, though, that my Incredibly Expensive Beads showed up today. They are very pretty, but worth over $100? I don't quite know. Although when it comes right down to it, by Kim's usual standards they were actually incredible bargains. A lot of times, they go for that much each.

I also got a pile of cards, including one from my long-lost (well, more or less) Aunt Earlene, who I haven't heard a word from directly since along about 1987. I suspect that her recent willingness to communicate with the family has to do with my grandmother not being around any more. She and her mother never got along. (My grandmother isn't dead. She's just in Idaho.)

(Also? I seem to have a weakness for Christmas icons. How is it that you increase your maximum number of icons, again?)
