Apr. 9th, 2005 11:56 pmWe had a nice time at the baseball game tonight, although the whole first half was pretty boring, and I was thinking that maybe I should just stop coming to games altogether, since I certainly wasn't enjoying it. But that was while we were losing, and as soon as we rallied (in the 6th inning, I think it was) and then won in the bottom of the 9th, I was really happy to be there. It's just one of those things - winning is infinitely more fun. We sat in the mezzanine, which is the outfield 2nd deck, down the 1st base line. It's really become my favorite place to sit. It's right under the big scoreboard, and so of course you can't always see the scoreboard, and it's not really as close to the players as I would like to be - unless you're really partial to right-fielders - but dollar for dollar they're possibly the best seats in the house. (I think they're $15.) (And okay, if I could sit in the field boxes right behind the plate, that would be better. But as far as I can tell, you can't get those seats in this stadium without having season tickets or being a player's wife, anyway.)
