As usual, I'm sliding my daily entry in at 10 minutes to 12. Luckily, I don't have to work tomorrow. The weather has been gray and rainy and slightly chilly, and it's really good sleeping-in weather. But then the rain makes me worry about everybody around here who hasn't gotten their roofs fixed yet. Hopefully a lot of people have gotten them done in the last month, but I'm sure there's still plenty who haven't.
Like a lot of people, I'm sure, I continue to be totally fascinated by the Obamas and all the transfer-of-power stuff. Luckily there's no shortage of material on the subject (although there is a shortage of material that doesn't just say the same things over and over, but you can't have everything.)
I'm starting to pick up Christmas presents for Rob - things like Showcase Presents: House of Mystery, Vol. 2
and assorted horror movies - although the horror movies are getting more difficult because he has practically everything he's interested in having. I guess my main Christmas present will be, once again, a computer. (That's been a pattern the last few years.) I also picked up a few things, like "Ironman" on DVD, that are for both of us, really - usually I wrap these up, put "To Sue and Rob from Santa" on it, but let Rob open it since I already know what it is.
I linked to that article from the Houston paper, and I notice that there's also an article on the main page of that paper titled Longing for that Guzzler again? Ugh. - But with gas under $2 here I guess it was inevitable. I think most people recognize that it's not likely to stay that way for long.
