I'm guessing that bloggerdotcom is probably just some arm of Google, but I can't swear to it. Blogger and Blogspot were both eaten up by Google a good while ago. I've had trouble with OpenID on various websites and honestly I never am sure how it works but it eventually works a lot of the time!
