I always use OPI gels. They stay on beautifully for me for four weeks and never, ever chip. My nail spa just didn't have an orangy-red creme for whatever reason. I settled for something very red, but with more blue, and had it coated with large gold glitter sparkles. It's very pretty, but I would have liked more of a Chinese red shade. I'm ready for it to be gone, but still have another week until my next appointment. Several years ago I decided a monthly mani-pedi was something I could and should do for myself in the way of pampering. I've never looked back. I have a wonderful technician who treats me like royalty. Such a luxury. I don't buy clothes or shoes very often at all, but this is two hours I look forward to every month. (Gel for the mani, the matching regular polish for the pedi, which also stays on with never a chip. OPI just works for me.)
