Tamaya at the top of Beacon's Perch

Here is Tamaya the Ranger at the top of the (GuildWars) world - Beacon's Perch. She returned to the mountains the other day to finish up the Frost Gate bonus - the last one of my characters to do it. Everybody has finished every one of the first nine missions now, except there's one bonus that Alessa still needs.

When Columbine left, he said "You'll be way ahead of me when I get back," and I didn't really think I would, but I kind of am. Rima did the Aurora Glade and Riverside Province missions, Alessa did Riverside Province, Mel did the Wilds and everybody did Divinity Coast. Some of them still need the bonuses on those, but they at least got the main mission on all of them. I tried Alessa out on Bloodstone Fen, too, and never got her through it - I'm not sure it's possible to do the bonus with henches, anyway - but at least I know my way around all of these now. I might try out Sanctum Cay tonight for good measure.

It has finally stopped raining here - it started raining Friday, I think, and pretty much rained continuously until yesterday. I didn't hear anything about significant flooding here - the advantage of living on an island is that there's usually somewhere for the water to go - but there was a lot of flooding in Houston, especially Monday when a lot of places got 10" of rain overnight. It was bad enough that people were saying it reminded them of Tropical Storm Alison, about 5 years ago when Houston flooded so bad. Alison was supposed to have been a "hundred year storm" so anything that even seems vaguely like that is a little scary.
