We can get into our new (2 bedroom, 2 bath) apartment on October 20. We have to be out of this one by November 4.

We are paying a couple hundred bucks for the privilege of having three whole weekends to move rather than one, which I think is totally worth the money.

I'm going to go have a nervous breakdown now.

Having done this very thing just a couple of weeks ago, I feel your pain. We were only given seven days (one weekend!) to do it though, which sucked, but I was glad to to be done with it.

Start packing! (and more importantly, start throwing away or donating!)

Yeah, we've already been working on that. Between my house and my mom's, the people at Goodwill are starting to know us by name.

Having moved twice in six weeks this year (moved from my residence temporarily into my vacant rental apartment before moving to my house), I feel your pain. But it will be so so so worth it when you're done. My mantra: "This, too, shall pass." Come, say, Thanksgiving, you'll be so happy (though not unpacked -- don't kid yourself), that the agony of moving will be a distant memory. Bon voyage!
