Sunday evening
Mar. 30th, 2008 04:28 pmI'm trying to convince myself I should work on taxes and things, since I'm going to have to do it sooner or later. So far, no dice, though. (When my brain is refusing to deal with something, it's very difficult to persuade it otherwise, unfortunately.)
columbina said he was going to clean house today instead of playing GuildWars, and I don't seem to be much interested in playing without him lately. But I spent a good chunk of the weekend reading Spindle's End, anyway - I couldn't put it down, and I just finished a couple of hours ago.
Rob went off to Hastings, the local book/video/music store, which is how he often amuses himself on weekend afternoons when we're not doing anything else, and came back with the news that they're closing. That's going to be hard on him, I think, since they're the only thing in town much resembling a real bookstore. (I think there's still a little indie bookstore downtown, but I doubt that they carry the kinds of things he's interested in. In the absence of Hastings we will probably have to check it out again.)
Texas lost, but I never got all that interested in the NCAAs this year so I'm hardly broken-up about it. They got to the round of 8, anyway, so it's hardly like they embarassed themselves. Tomorrow: baseball! (Maybe tonight, for somebody - I have to check on that.)
