(Behind the cut for the benefit of the uninterested, as usual.)
I think Columbine and I may have come close to overdosing on GuildWars yesterday. Or maybe not, because we both kept playing even after the hell that was Villainy of Galraith - but it's as close to feeling burned-out as I've come with this game. Villainy of Galraith is a quest - it involves going through several zones and killing lots of monsters - the roaming packs of minotaurs were particularly annoying - before you finally get to the "villain" Galraith (don't ask me what he's supposed to have done, because I forget) who is up on a hill by a very bizarre-looking castle - I wish I'd gotten a screenshot - surrounded by a lot of really nasty apprentices. (Galraith himself was definitely an anti-climax.) (If you really want to know about this, wiki article here. Apparently it could have been worse; we could have run into a bone dragon.) (And here is the tower. I should've known there'd be a picture someplace.)
We also spent a good bit of time getting Mel the Monk through some of her Ascalon quests. Playing with a Monk poses some problems; besides the weak armor, they also just don't have very strong attacks. They're worse than elementalists that way, I think, although whatever problems I might've had with my elementalist were undoubtedly minimized by having Col's warrior with me just about all the way. I did do some of Mel's quests on my own; I even did one mission with henches, successfully, but that mission (the first one, Great Northern Wall) doesn't involve Charr near as much as some of the later ones do, which is what worries me. But anyway, Col brought a couple of his higher-level chars over to run escort duty for Mel. (Actually, all of his are higher-level now, actually, except maybe the new Factions one, which I haven't seen. I don't think any of the older ones are lower than maybe level 17.) It was a lot of help, especially since we did some working out of what skills she had available and what was most likely to be helpful. I also have to practice healing other people; it's not easy to time it right. It's sort of fun to be able to revive people at will, though.
(I made my first-ever edit to the wiki; I fixed an it's/its problem. Those drive me crazy.)
