I need book recommendations!

I need reading material to take to Ohio with me - something reasonably fluffy and preferably something long. (I keep thinking of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, which probably isn't most people's idea of fluffy, but something of that ilk would do. If there is any such thing.)

(Is it necessary to say that I usually get bored in Ohio?)

I've been enamored of the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde, but that's pretty light reading.

Hmm, there's a lot of Gaiman I haven't read, come to that. Anansi Boys, among other things. See, that's what I needed, somebody to remind me of these things!

I should also point out that it doesn't have to be SF/F, either. Just not nonfiction, unless it's something really really compelling, because I haven't been doing so well with the nonfiction lately, for whatever reason.
