I got "The Inland North", which makes perfect sense given that I was raised in Chicagoland by people who came from Wisconsin.

That quiz gave me flashbacks to the sound files some of us recorded for TUS way back when.

This was actually my 2nd attempt. The first time, I also got Inland North - maybe because I was just up there? I don't know. I tried it a second time and tried to be more accurate about what I actually say, rather than how I think they're supposed to be pronounced, and it got it right.

I've never heard anybody talk much about where Texas falls linguistically, but I think it's only sort of half-Southern, anyway. We may say "y'all" but I think of a Texas accent as being sort of a flatter drawl than somebody further east would have.

And yeah, I remember those TUS things. "Dawn" and "Don" were on those, I know.
